Born from a Mother’s Love, Backed by Professional Knowledge

Every great idea begins with a spark of realization—and for me, a Chartered Accountant and a mom, that spark came from my own home.

As a parent, I wanted my son to understand the value of money—not just as something to spend but as a tool to build dreams. But teaching financial habits to a child turned out to be harder than I expected. My attempts to explain concepts like saving, budgeting, and planning often left us both frustrated. There were no engaging tools, no relatable resources, and no clear way to introduce these essential skills to a young mind.

At the same time, in my professional life, I was teaching Chartered Accountant aspirants—bright, ambitious young adults—but even they struggled with practical money skills. They could solve complex accounting problems but found it challenging to manage personal finances, budget effectively, or understand the nuances of investing.

This disconnect between knowledge and application struck me deeply. It wasn’t just about my son or my students; it was about a broader gap in our education system. Financial literacy—arguably one of the most important life skills—was missing from the foundation.

That’s when the idea for Fin Free Kid was born.

From Struggles to Solutions

Combining my expertise as a Chartered Accountant and my love as a mother, I set out to create something unique—resources that could make learning about money fun, simple, and accessible for kids and teenagers. I wanted to ensure that no parent would have to struggle the way I did and that children could grow up with a strong understanding of how to manage their money wisely.

The Journey of Fin Free Kid

Fin Free Kid isn’t just a program; it’s a reflection of my personal and professional journey. Every product, from our books and worksheets to our DIY kits and Smart Saver Kits, is designed with love, care, and a deep understanding of financial concepts.

Our resources aren’t just about teaching—they’re about empowering kids to think independently, make informed decisions, and develop habits that will serve them for life. We simplify complex topics like saving, investing, budgeting, and avoiding scams, transforming them into fun and engaging lessons for children.
